Read The Room

One of my all time favorites in homes and spaces right now is the hidden spare room.

Creating and using spaces is endless, as long as you can think it. You can create it.

The Hidden Spare Room

People of all parts of the world, homes both big and small are using platforms such as pinterest, HOUZZ, DIY shows are taking off and people, everyday like myself are taking huge risks creative wise and creating a space that used to be only for certain cities or certain homes. Now making them work for them.

You can take an area of your home and just make it, more.

A current project that I am working on is knocking out a wall against a fireplace to create an entryway into a playroom.

Your space can be as practical or whimsical as you can make it.

Lowes sells premade bookshelves but if you know of a trusted Carpenter or contractor, I would go custom.

Wallpapering a whole wall can make a room appear seamless including that you use hardware to that so it is not exposed.

My favorite is the one where these homeowners used an armoire to create a sort of Narnia feel.

Kind of makes you want to be a kid again, doesn't it?

Harrisonwoodworking.com creates bookshelves such as the one seen below, which might be a more practical choice for a basement, or attic.

So whatever your budget or style, there's always room for upgrades.
