Morning Rituals

I don’t know why I was lucky to be born to the parents I had.

Why was I blessed that some people in some parts of the world and born into poverty where I wasn’t. Why did I have two parents and can walk down the street where 5 blocks away kids didn’t know if they could sleep or even go to school.

Not only two days before this weeks

murder was I in a police station.

It was a very strange poignant moment in my life that I will never forget.

I realized I had white privilege.

I wrote to numerous papers. The times. The post. To share my story. just before watching the editor from instyle magazine speaking with a author to whom I believe also contributes to the magazine.

The New York Post.

I never heard back.

Instead I saw an article printed by The New York Post which was later shown to be false.

They also at the times say in their ACTUAL submissions.

“We own the rights to your article once submitted and may alter so we choose. “

I didn’t know the length of that statement until further seeing that photo.

In a time where we already know that we have been lied to. Time and time again. What are we going to do about it.

Who is going to participate and how are you going to strategize so that every human being has the same rights.

I’ve included photos at the bottom because I love photography and art. To not take away from the man who this movement. The movement is about.

This is a time in History where justice will prevail given we as a PEOPLE can remain calm. Collected. And strategize.

I wish all your families the greatest blessings and that you all may find comfort while you sleep tonight.

If that is not something you worry about daily. Then maybe it’s time we took a stand.

God bless and be safe.

It’s times like these that we need to take a step back.

They don’t want you to see the peaceful protests. They are terrified that we stand together.

Stay clear headed and remember who and what this is about.

The injustice and murder of an innocent black man.

A father. A son. A Man.

Don’t let them distract you.
