Hey guys, hope you all enjoyed your weekends. Ours was relaxing. So, this particular post is for the afterschool mamas, men or au pairs.
How can we make our afternoons more smooth? Kids, doctors appts. Dinner, errands.
Most kids are either wired or exhausted when they come home from school. If its like ours we like to stay loose but stick to a schedule.
I think one of the main things to anyones success, adult or child is Organization.
So here are a few tips for those afterschool 2nd shifts.
The Homework Caddy:
When your coming home, after practice or in betweens or taking a break. Having your kids set up for success and self sufficient is good for everyone.
The easiest way for us anyways, is to have a caddy on your counter or table, wherever you feel comfortable doing homework, and having it chock full of everything your child needs.
We're talking pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors the works. If you have everything you need at the ready, the easier it is for your child ( and you in case some sort of crisis arrises ) and if you have kids, something always arises.
Another suggestion is have a designated area. That way the child has routine and structure.
Here is a photo below, there are tons of things you can use though, like a shower caddy for instance.
Things to Include:

Markers
Crayons
Scissors
Erasers
Glue
Pencil Sharpener
Rulers
Hope you guys find this helpful!
