We've all heard the best times to buy flights are on Tuesdays, but when are really the best times to buy?

Well, Tuesdays.

Some general things to think about before you book.

Use airline travel sights like Kayak, and Expedia. Purchase 54 days prior to your trip when flying domestic. Tuesdays around 3p.m. actually are the best times to buy, but if everyone is doing it, it kind of defeats the purpose. Check often, airlines typically change there prices up to three times a day. Avoid purchasing on Sundays, and flying on Saturdays. When vacationing, use that travel agent. It doesn't have to be rocket science, but doing a little research can save you big $$$. Which you can then use, for your vacation. :)
